Compatibility follows evidence

A passing simulated protocol test does not certify a real account or every browser.

Evidence matrix

Evidence recorded up to 2026-09-27. A combination is marked Verified only when a real test of exactly that combination is recorded; none is yet.

Data format: schema major version 1; readings record their rule version. Known limits: a pasted reading is only as current as the moment you copied it, and a CLI newer than the adapter's tested version is treated as untested until it passes the same checks.

Support for other operating systems is not inferred from the companion running on Node: each platform needs its own recorded test. No companion download is offered until its release passes its gate.

Manual input

The parser accepts English-labelled limit, quota, weekly and daily rows with explicit used, remaining, left or available percentages. It supports plain text and basic terminal colour formatting. Relative reset text requires a full date, time and timezone before it can become a reset instant.

Unsupported formats can be entered manually. A context-window percentage is not imported as a subscription quota. Images, chat logs and authentication files are not accepted.

Notifications

Device sleep, network access, browser permission and operating-system notification settings affect display. The server does not receive device-delivery receipts, so a sent notification is not proof that it was shown.

If your Codex version is not supported

Read your CLI version with codex --version in a terminal. If the command is not found, the official Codex CLI is not on your PATH; this site does not guess where it is installed.

The local companion runs that one fixed command each time it starts the official client, and records the version with every reading. It has no list of approved versions yet: when the official client stops answering in the expected format five times in a row, the companion stops automatic reading and reports the version as incompatible. Manual paste on this site keeps working, and saved history can still be exported.

The companion is always started with the absolute path of the CLI you choose (--codex /path/to/codex). It never searches your disk or reads authentication folders to find it.

You never need to downgrade the CLI or skip a security update. Support for a new CLI version is added only after the adapter passes tests on both the old and the new version.
