Three places your data can be
This public website in your browser, a local companion on your own computer if you choose to run one, and files you export. They do not share storage: what this website saves stays on this website's origin in this browser.
Quota input and work plans
The current workspace keeps pasted text, confirmed readings and plans in this page's memory. Navigation inside the tool retains that session. A hard refresh or closing the page clears unsaved data. Quota data is never written to localStorage or sessionStorage and is never sent to a server.
Saving is off by default. Only after you turn on "Keep quota history on this device" and choose Save on a result are confirmed readings and plans written to this browser's IndexedDB database codexquota-v1, never the original pasted text. Saved data stays on this origin, is not encrypted and is not synchronized; you can export, import and delete it in Settings. Deleting here cannot delete other sites, files you downloaded or a local companion's records.
Exporting a decision creates a file on your device. It includes confirmed quota fields and their evidence, not the original status body, email, authentication secrets or local paths. Review a file before sharing it.
Public sources and notification data
Public monitoring reads same-origin public endpoints; it does not send your reading to codex-reset.com. Your network request still reaches the hosting provider, which sees ordinary connection metadata but no quota values. This tool does not run analytics or session replay.
When you explicitly enable notifications, the separate notification service stores a browser push channel, reminder types, consent version and any check times explicitly submitted. A separate IndexedDB database, codexquota-alerts-v1, keeps only notification management authorization in this browser so you can pause or revoke after reloading. Declining notification consent does not persist quota data or prevent tool use. These are not private quota snapshots. A push provider accepting a message is not proof of delivery to your device.
What is not offered
Accounts: Not offered. Cloud sync: Not offered. Encrypted backup: Not offered. Nothing is synchronized between devices, so there is nothing to sign in to.
Limits of this protection
Saving in this browser is not disk encryption: anyone who can use this browser profile can read saved records. Malware or other software on the same device is outside what this tool can protect against.
Your data on this site
Open settings to inspect what this browser has saved for this site.
Clear the current quota session
This removes this tab's unsaved input, reading, comparison baseline and plans. Notification subscriptions are a separate service and are not revoked by clearing quota memory.
Manage notification subscriptions separately
Deleting here clears only this website's data in this browser. A local companion keeps its records on your computer; delete them on the companion's own local page (http://127.0.0.1:43187), which this website cannot reach.
